• PE days on Tuesdays. Please ensure your child is dressed in appropriate PE wear and earrings are removed.
• Please ensure children are engaging with TT Rock Stars to support them in preparation for the upcoming Times Table check.
• 4C are swimming this half term on Wednesdays. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing appropriate PE kit, earrings are removed and swimming kit is in a bag.

English

In English Year 4 will be reading the following Greek myths, and retelling them using the key skills from our 'I am a clever writer' checklists. - Theseus and the Minotaur - Daedalus and Icarus - Perseus and the Gorgon's Head - Arion and the Dolphin   Our key skills will include: - conjunctions - prepositional phrases - detailed description - accurately punctuated dialogue - paragraphs organised around a theme

Maths

In Maths so far this half term we have been exploring place value of three and four digit numbers, before moving on to addition and subtraction.

Maths at Meadow View

Curriculum 

This half term in History we are looking at the Ancient Greeks. We will be learning about how archaeologists discover things about the past using artefacts. We will learn about the city states of Athens and Sparta, Greek gods and beliefs, important events in Ancient Greece and some of the Ancient Greeks most important inventions and advances.

Science

In Science this half term, we are learning about Electricity. We will be learning how electricity is generated, how it reaches our home, the difference between mains and battery power and the dangers of electricity. We will learn how to build circuits and use circuit symbols to draw our own circuits.
